Bluesmoke is a soft-rock cover band that plays an eclectic selection of tunes spanning the last 30 years. Their influences range from Cyndi Lauper to Imelda May to Cold Chisel.

By combining Terry’s 6 and 12 string fingerpicking with Alex’s smooth lead work they have created  their own distinctive sound.  Throw in Marty’s incredible percussion skill combined with Ray’s intricate bass lines and between them these boys provide their front-girl Amanda with the perfect platform for her to unleash her amazing vocals.  They are truly a cover band with a difference!

Bluesmoke has gone through a number of different line ups since inception in 2010 when, after a little too much red wine on the back deck of a friend’s home in Gundaroo, the name was chosen for the distinctive 2 stroke engine smoke from their Suzuki RGV 250 racing motorcycles that the founding members indulged with at the time.

By mid 2017 Alex and Terry had been jamming together for some years when they decided to find themselves someone who could actually sing. Amanda answered the call and won them over. She managed to wrangle the boys into pretty decent shape and within a year they were gigging around Canberra.  A recent performance at George Harcourt Inn was caught on video.

When they were approached to perform at Gundaroo they decided a quality engine room was necessary and invited Ray and Marty to join them, creating what is now the 5 piece line up you see in the photo.

“Being invited to open the Goulburn Toyota Gundaroo Music Festival is a fantastic opportunity and a genuine honour. We are so proud to accept and do our bit to help find a cure for MND”.

The band is very much looking forward to taking to the stage and demonstrating their unique style for you.
